We have compiled all the information you need to know about the correct use of safety equipment – learn how to put on, wear and care for a face mask, how often it should be changed and how to clean your hands with a disinfectant. We invite you – protect yourself and those around you, especially during the upcoming holidays!
To reduce the impact of biological risk on the spread of COVID-19, we recommend that you purchase and use a face mask and disinfectant both during the holidays and in everyday life if you need to go outside the home where there is a risk of contact with other people.
Facial hygiene masks
Proper use of a hygienic face mask is important to ensure its effectiveness in protecting yourself against viruses and bacteria, as well as to prevent the spread of the virus due to improper use. It is recommended to use it on the street, on public transport and in places where contact with other people is possible, and especially if you develop any symptoms of illness - fever, cough, difficulty breathing, muscle aches or fatigue.
Both disposable and reusable face masks are available for purchase. The World Health Organization (WHO) has developed guidelines on how to properly use face masks, regardless of the type chosen, the only difference being how to care for/replace the face mask. The CRPC points out that wearing masks can help reduce the spread of the virus for people who are coughing, sneezing, etc. – and who need to move around in public places.
Instructions for use
Wash your hands thoroughly before touching your face mask.
Carefully place the mask on your face, covering your mouth and nose, and tuck the loops behind your ears to minimize gaps between your face and the mask. Make sure the colored side of the mask (blue side for elektrumveikals.lv hygiene masks) is facing outwards, and the edge of the mask with the metal wire fits snugly over your nose.
Do not touch the mask during use, especially the part facing outwards, as viruses and bacteria are mostly found on this surface, so touching it can cause virus transmission.
Change/wash the mask every two hours.
Proper care of reusable hygiene masks
The hygienic face mask is reusable, breathable and sweat-proof. A good solution if you move around a lot and are in contact with other people every day. You just need to remember 3 prerequisites for proper mask care to take care of your health!
Remove the mask without touching the inside of the mask – using the ear loops.
After removing or whenever you accidentally touch the mask, clean your hands using a sanitizer or soap and water.
After each use, wash the mask at a temperature of +60 oC to +90 oC, and after drying, iron it on cotton mode up to +150 oC. Be careful not to touch the ear loops!
We invite you to purchase hygienic face masks also at nailinfinity.eu – we will deliver them to your chosen parcel machine within a few days at no additional charge!
Correct replacement of disposable face mask
If you have chosen disposable face masks, remember to change them every 2 hours or as soon as the mask becomes damp. In addition, you should be careful every time you change the mask - several safety measures should be followed to avoid possible risks of infection.
Remove the mask without touching the inside of the mask – using the ear loops.
Throw the mask in the trash and clean your hands thoroughly using disinfectant or soap and water – including whenever you accidentally touch it.
Take a new, dry and clean mask, carefully apply it to your face as written above.
Never reuse a disposable mask!
Remember – regardless of the use of a face mask, we must continue to maintain a two-meter distance from each other both in and outside public spaces, as stipulated in the Cabinet of Ministers' regulations.
Hand and surface disinfectants

Given that the virus can survive for several days on surfaces, it is important to take extra precautions – regularly clean and disinfect spaces, and always carry hand sanitizer with you.
Surface cleaning and disinfection
Every surface that people touch frequently should be disinfected regularly. The most common sources of bacteria are doorknobs, faucets, phones, tablets, as well as tabletops, wall and window surfaces, as well as surfaces in the toilet and bathroom.
Before disinfecting surfaces, it is recommended to wet clean with household cleaning products (we recommend choosing natural alternatives to chemical products), only then use a disinfectant. Carefully read the manufacturer's instructions for using the product, as their composition and method of use may vary.
It is recommended to use disposable cloths or wipes for cleaning surfaces – they should be thrown in the trash after cleaning. After finishing cleaning surfaces, do not forget to disinfect the equipment used for wet cleaning, such as a broom handle or vacuum cleaner.
When using chemical disinfectants, it is important to ventilate the room after cleaning to protect your health and that of your household members.
Let's be efficient!
Before ventilating, remember to turn off all heating devices and, for radiators with heat supply adjustment, select the mode marked with an asterisk – so as not to consume heat unnecessarily. Restore the heating level to normal mode after a short time when you have finished ventilating the room – when the air temperature in the room has equalized. Open the window in the room completely, but only for a few minutes, then the window sill and walls will not have time to cool down. In turn, it is recommended that the residents of the house leave the room for the duration of the ventilation, so as not to risk catching a cold. We recommend ventilating the room at least once a day, thus promoting air exchange and maintaining a healthy indoor climate.
Hand disinfection
Hand hygiene is essential at all times, and especially after using the toilet, before eating and preparing food, before applying make-up, after visiting public places, after coughing and sneezing, and after contact with sick people or their surroundings. If you cannot wash your hands regularly with soap and water on a daily basis, it is recommended to disinfect them with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer – it is good to always have one with you when you go out!
When washing your hands or using sanitizers, make sure you clean the entire surface of your hands:
- Rub palm against palm;
- Rub the surface of each palm;
- Rub the product between your fingers as well;
- Rub the thumb of each hand separately;
- Finally, rub your fingertips together by rubbing them against the palm of your other hand.
Remember that even when using disposable gloves, they must be disinfected just like we do with our hands!
We offer hand and surface disinfectants to purchase at www.nailinfinity.eu – they, like other products, will be delivered to your chosen parcel machine at no additional charge. And if the purchase amount reaches 30 EUR, we will deliver it ABSOLUTELY FREE!
We encourage you to be responsible and follow the above safety measures, thus protecting both yourself and others!
